If you want to catch Session 1 (19:10–), many people start securing spots around 16:00, so arriving early is recommended.
2. Concrete Benches at Both Ends

The concrete benches at both ends allow you to view the water show toward the center. Since they are a bit farther from the stage, try to get closer to the center if possible. From these benches, the entire water show is slightly harder to see, but the fireworks and drone effects are spectacular. This is perfect for those who want to enjoy fireworks and drone displays together with the show.
3. In Front of the Central Gate of Water Plaza (Near Restrooms)
In Front of the Central Gate of Water Plaza (Near Restrooms)
There are open seating areas on both sides of the central gate near the restrooms. Since these spots are fenced, viewing will be through the bars. Be careful when taking photos or videos, as reaching over may disturb people behind you. Not ideal for photography, but a decent spot to calmly enjoy the show.
4. Water Plaza Central – In Front of the Expo Monument
4. Water Plaza Central – In Front of the Expo Monument
A very popular spot to capture the Expo logo along with the water show ✨ Naturally, it can get crowded, and as of September, people were starting to claim spots around 16:30. During the show, standing up to take photos may obstruct the view of those behind you.
5. Behind the Monument

You can also watch the show from further behind the monument. Most people start sitting around 16:00–17:00, so arriving early is again recommended. During the show, the pathway in front is blocked, giving you an unobstructed view. This is a great spot for those who want to avoid crowds and watch comfortably.

6. Covered Circular Benches Further Back
Even further back, there are covered circular benches. The stage is slightly farther away, so viewing the show is a bit harder, but it’s ideal for watching fireworks and drones. You can sit back and relax, enjoying the show in comfort.

7. Rear Big Roof Ring (Upper & Lower Levels)
You can also watch from the Big Roof Ring behind the Water Plaza central gate. From the upper level, you can see the entire show, while the lower level offers a close-up, immersive experience. Occasionally, you can even feel the splashes of water or the heat from flames—perfect for those seeking a live experience!

Note: The sound may be a bit distant, making dialogue or music harder to hear. Even so, it’s highly recommended for those who want to experience the show’s atmosphere.
Handy Items to Bring
To make your free viewing experience more comfortable👇
Portable folding chair or picnic sheet – essential since the ground is hard and may be dirty.
Some people brought small tripods for cameras or phones, but these are generally not allowed. A little preparation will make your experience even more enjoyable ✨
Final Tips
Even if you can’t get a reserved seat, knowing the free viewing areas ensures you can fully enjoy the water show ✨ Free seating is first-come, first-served! September at the Expo can get very crowded, so if you want to watch Session 1 (19:10–), try to secure your spot by around 16:30.
Check the locations in advance and enjoy a truly special evening 💖
